Dr Anil Garg

Dr Anil Garg FRCPCH, FRCPI, DCH, Dip. Educ. PGCert. MedicalCareers - is Consultant Paediatrician, Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust; Honorary Consultant Paediatrician, Brighton Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust; and Associate Clinical Professor, American University of Caribbean, Sf. Marteen. Neonatology and cardiology are his special expertise. He is a senior examiner for the RCPCH for MRCPCH and DCH and was Principal Regional Examiner for South East Thames region, England. He is currently working with Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS) Deanery to improve MRCPCH teaching in the region. A very keen educator, he has developed and presented novel teaching and monitoring techniques at national and international meetings. He has noted the difficulties that the trainees face in the clinical part of MRCPCH examination and has developed successful study material to improve clinical skills. 

He is the chief  advisor to EXCEL (MRCPCH + DCH) courses.

Dr. Pavitra Chakravarty

Dr. Pavitra Chakravarty, a consulting pediatrician and neonotologist. and founder member of EXCEL (MRCPCH + DCH).

Dr Chakravarty has been involved with  the MRCPCH & DCH  examination  and training for several years both in UK and in India.

Dr Chakravarty has been actively involved in  treaching and guiding candidates for the MRCPCH theorey and clinical examinations for several years.His passion is Communication skills and also practical hands down approach to the MRCPCH theorey and clinical examinations.

After having a wide range of  experience as a paeditrcian in the UK is currently consulting at Columbia Asia Hospital, Salt Lake, Kolkata, Calcutta Medical Research Institute Kolkata, Institute of Child Health,

Dr Rajiv Sinha

Rajiv obtained dual certification in paediatric and paediatric nephrology (CCT) after completing 5 years of higher specialist training under London Deanery. His work experience in UK has been in paediatric nephrology centers of international repute like Great Ormond Street Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. In addition he has also completed padeiatric nephrology fellowship from Canada. After coming back to India he initially joined CMC, Vellore as Assistant Professor and Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist. His academic position is with Institute of Child Health as Associate Professor where in he is working as the head of the department of paediatric nephrology unit. Currently he is working as Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist for Fortis and AMRI group of hospitals in Kolkata. They are running a well-equipped tertiary paediatric nephron-urology unit where all kinds of renal problem at every age are covered.

Dr Braja Ray

Braja is working as Asst. Professor and consultant in paediatrics in VIMS Kolkata. His commitments include attending outpatient clinics, ward rounds, neonatal follow up clinics. He is also involved in teaching post graduate medical students. He regularly teaches MRCPCH candidates appearing for part 1 and clinicals. As academic program coordinator, he organises academic activities for the department. Currently he is leading two research projects of building regional growth charts, and analysing mortality data in newborns admitted in NICU in district level hospitals. He has published several research and review work in international and national level journals along with review of several articles for the Archives of Diseases of Childhood.

Dr Urmila Pillai

Dr Urmila Pillai is a Consultant Paeditrician and Neonatologist with special intesrest in Growth and Development. 

Dr Pillai has been involved with the MRCPCH & DCH Examinations and training for several years both in the UK and India.

Dr Pillai has been widely appreciated for  her teaching  and for a hands down approach to Growth and Development in a Cinical examination setting.

Dr Saumen Meur

Dr Meur is trained in Paediatrics, Paediatric Cardiology and Paediatric Intensive Care in the UK, mostly in Oxford and London. Dr Meur worked as a consultant paediatric Intensivist at Oxford University Hospital in Oxford before returning to India. Currently he is working as paediatric cardiac Intensivist in Kolkata. His special interests apart from cardiology and intensive care are teaching, communication skills, quality & safety in clinical practice and simulation training.
